#and their characters have very similar energies

Many of you are already familiar with my enthusiasm for the theory that Haladriel may have had an intimate relationship in Eregion. This idea has been subtly hinted at in the context and discussed in detail within the meta. Today, I'd like to explore one more aspect that could further suggest the possibility of intimacy between these two characters.
Being the spirits tied to the elements of Arda, the maiar can draw energy from the natural forces and elements of the world. This connection is often linked to the specific domains they control. For instance, Sauron, who has dominion over the fire, draws power from this force. This is evident after the eruption— he gets the dark power back and while he obviously pretends to be wounded, there’s a shift to darkness in his appearance.

When he arrives in Eregion, he heals and then works with Celebrimbor and Galadriel, appearing almost rejuvenated as if the very light of Valinor is shining upon him, something burns within him as though a flame has been awakened.

However, after the reveal of his true self, his look begins to change once again upon his return to Eregion. His once radiant appearance darkens. In my opinion, it signifies not only his fall into darkness, but also the loss of Galadriel’s light, which had once been a guiding force for him, shining upon him. His dark powers are no longer balanced.

Sauron made it clear that he wished to be bound to Galadriel's light. He wants to harvest it for himself.
How does he envision this process?
It’s not about her physically standing beside and her literal light shining upon him, right?
There’s a deeper connection to be explored here.
This is primarily an emotional bond, where two individuals find comfort in each other's presence, sharing warmth and feelings that create a sense of mutual understanding. This is the feeling they shared in Numenor and Southlands. This is when Halbrand looked like this.

However, in Eregion we have even a better improved Halbrand 2.0 version, he is so fuckingly handsome here, not only being in the light but radiating this light himself.

Where did he get this light? I may assume because Galadriel was generous and shared it with him.
How?...
Many of you know the story about Melkor and Arien. Arien, a Maia who governs the Sun, is a fiery spirit whose light powers the Sun. Melkor, in his desire for her light, ravaged her, causing her to be released from the world of Arda. Many Tolkien enthusiasts interpret this act as a form of violation—Melkor essentially took Arien's light in a brutal and destructive manner, meaning raped her when she refused to become his wife.
In the case of Galadriel and Halbrand, Sauron’s desire for her light can be seen as a similar longing. Instead of merely desiring her physical presence and support, it’s about him trying to harvest her light through intimacy. In many cultures, sexual intercourse is viewed as a ritual for sharing energy, perhaps, Sauron sought to get her light in the same way.
He could be sleeping with her, harvesting her light to magnify his own strength. He knows the depth of her radiance, a force that could overwhelm him completely. And unlike Arien, she has been offering it to him freely because she's been in love with Halbrand. That's why it cuts deep and stirs a storm of anger when she refuses his offer to remain eternally bound.
He returns to Eregion to forge the rings alongside Celebrimbor and though he is still handsome, he is no longer radiating this light because he lost its source.

He desperately tries to get Galadriel back and harvest her light that he got so addicted to and when she refuses to become his wife queen again, he ravishes her in a similar way Melkor did to Arien. Brutally, taking her by force.
However, much like in the story of Melkor and Arien, it won't quite work. Arien released her spirit, burning Melkor and leaving him ashen and grey. As for Galadriel... she simply leapt off a cliff, once again denying him the light he so much desire.

Hello! I wanted to ask about whether a character of mine would be alright. This character is a double above-knee amputee in a futuristic setting, and I wanted to know if having prosthetics that work a bit more reliably (like under-knee prosthetics, as they replicate the functionality of a knee) would be okay. They don't use their prosthetics all day and do still cause pain like other prosthetics, nor do they give them any other advantage. They still do also use a wheelchair for most of the day, and do not use prosthetics for most of it. For reference, there are also other major characters with limb differences that do not use prosthetics, as well as few other wheelchair users (ambulatory and non ambulatory), some of which have done so due to traumatic injury, and others that were born with limb differences or other congenital issues. This character in specific is in a position of privilege that gives them the chance to opt to the best available technology too.
I wanted to approach this carefully and make sure it wasn't falling into a harmful trope. I'm also physically disabled, for context, although I am not an amputee.
Hello!
Standard disclaimer, we don't have amputee mods right now.
Yes, it's fine to give your character prosthetics that work - they work for a lot of people. We just stress that they aren't a miracle cure-all because usually in fiction, prosthetics are treated as essentially aesthetic (if the author wants to show they Done Research, they will mention that the character has phantom pain once). But prosthetics, just as other mobility aids, are well - aids. They have their cons and pros, and sometimes they are useful and sometimes they aren't, and there's a billion factors that go into that.
We do currently have prosthetics that essentially mimic a knee, they're called microprocessor knees and they basically try to adapt to how the person walks. They're quite expensive, but I know that a lot of amputees who use them find them really helpful.
This obviously still doesn't make them perfect in every way. It's still, for example, more tiring to walk on prosthetics. You're using less muscle to move around more weight. This can sometimes be difficult when going up and down the stairs, for example. A lot of the DAKAs I've seen walk with very straightened legs, and many of them need to use a handrail to maintain stability when using the stairs. In this video you can see someone who is (presumably) similar to your character (a young fit guy) and he himself says that it's a bit of a complicated process. You need to use a lot of momentum. All of this gets easier with more practice, so you might have to consider how long has your character been an amputee for - if they were born like this, they'd probably have a lot of this long time figured out, but if it's more recent, they might still be in the relearning phrase; it's not easy to just change the way you walk overnight.
I know some DAKAs who use "little leg" prosthetics (I'm honestly not sure what the english name is), they're basically shortened prosthetics that take the calf part away, and you have much more stability, etc. Some people use these at home since you can save energy and don't have to walk anywhere too far. So that could be another option you could include that I don't think I've seen in anything ever.
TLDR; yes, it's perfectly fine to give your character a working mobility aid - just keep researching as you write, and don't be afraid to check even the most basic "how do DAKAs do XYZ" stuff - there's some nuance even in figuring out how to get up from the floor after you fall down. :)

“Nosferatu” (2024) simplified
Robert Eggers is subverting every theme in the “Dracula” novel, and playing with canon and expectations: “My influences are all very clear, and Nosferatu is a remake, after all,” Eggers says, yet he plays with the canon, with expectations and clichés – “hopefully subverting them to do something unexpected”.
Robert Eggers has said a thousand times already this story is a Gothic romance, heavily inspired by “Wuthering Heights”, which he read and re-read while writing the script, and Ellen and Orlok are similar to Cathy and Heathcliff. This Ellen wants this Orlok;
This is a Folk Gothic horror movie: Count Orlok is a strigoi from Balkan folklore; isn’t merely blood he feeds on, it’s souls (that why he drinks heart blood; heart as center of the soul). His lore is Balkan folklore and Dacian mythology. He’s not Vlad the Impaler and he’s a subversion of Count Dracula in many ways. He’s an entirely new character created by Eggers, as are the rest of the characters here.
The “possession” are the blood plague victims. Orlok can only “possess” those he feeds on, and traps their souls inside of Nosferatu (alongside his own). This is why Thomas was exorcised but he’s still lost in Orlok’s shadow like the Nuns warn him, he doesn’t listen (Orlok still has influence over him, as we see; not kicking out Ellen of the bed, and Thomas is the one who gets possessed in the “possession scene”);
Ellen and Herr Knock are more similar than you think; Knock is the character who tells the audience what Ellen has been doing in her teenage years (masturbation; Orlok has to be conjured for telepathic/mind communication to happen, via sexual energy). Orlok can only possess those he fed on (Thomas, Anna Harding, Friedrich Harding, etc.). He only “possesses” Ellen at the end;
Ellen is confused about her own power, she’s a unreliable narrator, because she doesn’t have the language to understand it. It’s a character outside of Victorian society which begins to unravel the mystery behind her “sickness”, but she’s comes to the answer on own. At first, Professor Von Franz thinks she’s a victim of spiritual obsession by some daemon (she’s having these “hysterical fits” because a daemon tells her to, a daemon is influencing her behavior because of what he says to her, inside of her head). Ellen doesn’t have the knowledge to understand what Von Franz means, and interprets this as Orlok being a demon possessing her body (“I have felt you crawling like a serpent in my body”). He isn’t because he never drank her blood (soul). She also keeps mixing up her 16th century incarnation with her current one;
Thomas is the character who tells the audience the “true story” in the “possession scene”; he says it’s “impossible” for Ellen and Orlok to have been lovers “then” because he was actually possessed by Orlok, he had access to his soul, he knows what Ellen is talking about can’t possible have happened in her current life/incarnation (because it didn’t; he was only a shadow at her window during her teenage years, and she’s the reincarnation of his wife, she most likely has flashbacks memories of this);
Most scenes are characters talking about opposite things and people dying as a result;
Ellen and Orlok “first night scene” at the Hardings is Ellen accusing him of being a demon possessing her, while he thinks she knows she has been conjuring him this entire time. He also believes she remembers their past life together because of the lilacs;
The “possession scene” between Ellen and Thomas is her talking about her past with Orlok (she unleashed him; lovers), and initiating a communication with the spiritual world because she thinks Orlok will possess her like a demon; Thomas knows this is impossible, truly believes he was the one who unleashed Orlok because he sold him a house in Wisburg and now thinks Orlok is getting to Ellen the same way he did to him when he arrived at Transylvania (nightmares and hallucinations);
The “vengeance” at the ending is Thomas. He’s on a revenge mission against Orlok because he wants to avenge Ellen, the Harding and himself. He blames himself for everything that has happened. Only this is what Orlok wants because he has been influencing Thomas into killing him with a “spike of cold iron” (Thomas-Handsome Roma vampire hunter).
Friedrich and Anna Harding are the mirror pair to Orlok and Ellen. That’s why they are targeted by Orlok. Orlok and 16th century Ellen were like Friedrich and Anna (but Ellen being more sexual);
Ellen’s shame is connected to Victorian views of female sexuality and womanhood as a whole. Orlok doesn’t only represent her repressed sexual desire, but also nature (vs. society/domestic sphere/Thomas) and education/knowledge (enchanter; occultist; worshipper of Zalmoxis, owner of the secrets of life and death, and immortality). Passion isn’t the only thing he has to offer; he represents liberation and power. Everything that was off limits to women in the early 19th century. This story deals with Historical Feminism.

For a brief moment I lived in a world where SanSan shippers and Sandor defenders weren’t real and I was so happy. But naturally the filth of this fandom comes up and strikes at the worst times and ruins all good things.
So a reminder: TW SA
Sandor Clegane is a grown man and creep who is sexually attracted to a girl between the ages of 12-14.
Even if he didn’t act on it, the mere fact that he is interested in sleeping with a child is disturbing and disgusting.
It’s not unfathomable that Sandor would r*pe Sansa, he very much considered it and admitted as much.
Just because he didn’t officially r*pe Sansa does not mean that his actions during the battle of Blackwater were “good” just by comparison. A key part of SA is the power the perpetrator holds over the victim. When he’s holding her down on a bed with a knife to her throat telling her to sing for her life, he’s still getting a similar gratification
Being drunk does not justify what Sandor did to Sansa
If you ship those two you have to look at the fact that you ship a child with a grown man who considered r*ping her and accept that with fullness of chest
There’s no way around this. SanSan as a ship is vile. Sandor is not the misunderstood, sad knight who just needs to be “saved”. He’s a brutal and savage man who is attracted to little girls (at least one).
And btw if you are angry that Jorah is a creep to Dany then you gotta carry that energy for Sandor and Sansa. Because regardless of how you may feel about either character, both are literal girls who are victims of grown men.
#god I hate that ship#and I hate that his fans clutch their pearls when you call him out#and that they do olympic gymnastics to bend their way around the truth#Sandor clegane is a creep who wanted to r*pe a little girl#game of thrones#sansa stark#pro sansa stark#anti Sandor clegane#anti Sandor#anti SanSan#anti Sansa X Sandor#anti SanSan stans#anti Sandor stans

helloooooo :D
whats your BIGGEST HOTTEST takes on funger in general? your takes on the characters (playable or not *wink* *wink*), lore and overall stuff. :3
SO ☝️
there's A LOT to talk about but today, here, my main focus is gonna be the old gods! i love how influential they are for the game (the first and the second) specially Sylvian and Gro-goroth! obviously Alll-mer is essential as well and i'll talk about him a little too but not here! the God of the Depths is really interesting too, so he'll shine eventually
we all know Gro-goroth and Sylvian are kinda "consorts" (Vinushka exists because of them!) but there's a detail i like to point out everytime because idk it's so cool! you see, Gro-goroth is primely destruction, chaos, death energy, his followers do blood sacrifices, sacrifices in general (but i bet it's mainly human sacrifices) and cannibalism (they're known as wolfmasks!) and if we go back in time, that accompanied the human race pretty much all the time! many ancient civilizations partaken in sacrificial stuff for gods, to placate their thirst, rage or simply to satisfy their gods needs. I'm not talking about it in a negative way, never. it's a REALLY interesting topic and tell us a lot about human relationships with the divine! it's cultural, it's HISTORY!! and I'm very passionate about it too!
i absolutely adore how Gro-goroth sums that chaotic, deadly energy that surrounded humanity since ancient times and i love how his design shows it well, on the other hand, there's Sylvian, goddess of lust, creation, fertility, life energy, she embodies the human carnal desires that, well, we all have, it's a primal human desire. lots of old civilizations (that persists until our days, like Hellenism! my friend @getagirlie is an Aphrodite and Hera devotee, i learn a lot with him!) had ways of worship that required sexual acts, like masturbation
sex can be a powerful way to connect with gods and this is fascinating! Sylvian design show us that even if she is a feminine goddess, she has both masculine and feminine symbols like voluptuous breasts and fallic stuff
and it's SO COOL that their "child", Vinushka is a nature goddess. because nature destroys, but also birth life. it's chaotic and harmonic at the same time. it's fertility and death. and these 3 gods are perfect to summarise human "needs" and "desires", the deepest and primal human emotions and relationships with the nature (humanity is nature too!)
i ADORE how Miro wrote the gods and the different takes each character has with them, their visions, opinions (or lack of opinion), fears, etc. they add A LOT to the game and i wished ppl talked more about them; the way these fictional gods are so similar to irl gods and religions makes me so happy... love talking about it...
anyway i think i rambled a lot and idk if it makes sense but!!! thanks for asking 💜

I kinda ramble in response to this I’m super sorry, it made me have lots of thoughts /pos
My hope is that they aren’t cowards and give us a NB Yuu for at least one manga. I actually want the twist to be that Diasomnia’s Yuu is the NB one. I feel like they won’t do it, but I’d love if they would.
It’s incredibly weird to me that people are acting like Yuuka isn’t literally just a woman with short hair. I love all of the diverse designs for the Yuus. We’ve got a big, buff man for Heartslabyul, a sporty short-haired girl for Savanaclaw, a plus sized guy for Octavinelle (he’s my beloved), and a gyaru girl for Scarabia!
Each Yuu matches up with an element of that book. We’ve got Yuuken, who is strong and helpful. His appearance alone is the opposite of Riddle. Yuuka is a sporty girl, fitting to the Savanaclaw arc, which centers around sports. Plus, we know that in the Savana, women are respected, which is an interesting thing for Leona’s arc here. Then for Yuuta, he’s plus sized and works at his family’s restaurant, which goes against Azul. Azul is trying to hide his past self, but here’s Yuuta, living as he is. Azul has to face someone who looks like he used to. Then for Yuuna, well, she’s very similar to Kalim! A cheerful, ditzy girl who loves to have fun! And another Kalim for Jamil to face. Each Yuu’s design is important to the story they’re in.
Are these people going to have the same energy if we get a feminine man for Pomefiore? Or maybe even better, we’ll get a completely average, maybe even not conventionally attractive man, for Pomefiore. What will these people think then? It’s kinda wild to me people would have such a heteronormative attitude towards this series when there’s so much diversity within it. Twst doesn’t shy away from diversity at all. The characters (besides Epel and likely Vargas) are all pretty open with femininity. Yuu in the game doesn’t have a listed gender. Lilia is our bicon. And just pay attention to everyone else. Characters proudly wear feminine fashion and makeup.
So to look at Diasomnia and go "IT BETTER BE A GIRL YUU!" is so odd to me. Because MalleYuu can still VERY MUCH BE A THING if we have a masc/NB Yuu. People should also remember that even though there’s a lot of "Malleus forgets this isn’t otome" moments, the game is still ultimately not an otome and… I hate to shatter dreams here… but the game isn’t gonna end in romance.
Basically, my point is people looking at this game with such a hetero mindset is super strange to me. Because there’s a lot of queer elements in the game, even if it’s not outright stated. Yana is someone who likes to have lgbt+ characters in her works, so to look at the game in such a heteronormative light is weird to me lol.
And your point about the masc audience is so true. Often in fandoms like these that are made up majority of fem people, being a masc or NB person can almost feel alienating. Like we aren’t welcome in these kinds of fandoms sometimes. I’ve had this issue with fanfics, especially. Fanfics are saturated with stories catered to fem people, especially when the MCs are guys. It’s hard to find stories for masc/NB people in general, much less when the MCs are guys. And if we (I’m a transmasc agender person, they/it btw) ask, we get told to make our own or basically "too bad." I could write a whole essay on this alone (and I might one day!), but yeah-
Also, to say Yuuka is masc just to fit in the boy’s school ;;;;;;; what an odd thing to say. Yuuka is just a lesbian, guys /j. But no, she just happens to be a masc woman and I think she’s beautiful. She and Yuuna just have different styles and that’s literally it. And not to be rude, but all these people being like "finally a Yuu who accepts femininity!" are giving pick-me. Like they sound EXACTLY like the people who think transmascs and afab NB folks are only trans to reject femininity. But again, as a NB person, that’s the perspective I have. And to those people… lots of us are still pretty feminine! We aren’t rejecting femininity! I literally love "girly" shit. People just like different styles and that’s okay! Wait until they find out that Yuuna’s clearly gyaru inspired look is actually rooted in protest against the beauty standards from back in the day.
Twst is such a wonderful game, and this is why I adore it so, so much. It’s full of diverse, wonderful characters all with their own stories and to be so bent about that aspect is forever a strange thing to me. All of the Yuus are wonderful in their own ways. I love each of them. To compare them with negative intentions makes no sense.
Sorry for such a long ramble! I got "lost in the sauce" as they say.
And also, Twst, come on… give me an official NB Yuu (slides them a dollar and a ring pop). Kinda hope anime Yuu is genderless! But that’s a topic for another time haha.
Ahh these are the sort of topics I don’t know how to word well in English , so forgive me if I have roundabout explanations for things 😆 this is a bit of a vent, I apologize again for any mistaken words on anything 💦
But I guess I’m just a little disheartened by the EN fandom- particularly with the whole manga Yuu situation. I adore all the Yuu’s, I love all the Yuu OCs that this amazing and creative fandom has designed.
But I’m seeing an…over exaggeration? Or pedestal put onto the Scarabia Yuu, Yuuna Oujou, and the way some people have discussed the manga Yuu’s have made me a little uncomfortable.
I’ve seen some people be like “finally! A girl Yuu for the manga!” Or “finally! A Yuu who presents herself as a woman!” (This is way different than a celebration of a femme Yuu btw).
? Yuuka, the Savanaclaw Yuu, IS a woman. Some people have been claiming that she’s “hiding her gender” in the all-boy’s school, or “downplaying” her gender, and how they’re so happy that Yuuna is “unapologetically a woman.”

But Yuuka, even in her previous world, has ways presented as a bit more masc- a very bifauxnen, cool girl type of character who is resolute in her strength because of her judo experience. A translation of the manga I read even has her referring to herself as a “ordinary school girl.” It’s just her own personal style of presenting herself. She also exercises in a sports bra! The only troubles she has is the troubles ALL Yuu’s have: that they’re magicless and aren’t meant to be here at this school and this WORLD.
And frankly, it’s uncomfortable that I’ve seen so many people in the fandom act as if feminine style is the only valid way to present as a woman, the implications that Yuuka is not a woman from the way she chooses to dress or cut her hair.
I’m so so happy that people find joy in a very femme presenting Yuu- I love Yuuna just as much! But when the conversation begins turning into…implying femininity is the only way to be/present as a woman, that’s not…it just feels awful. Yuuka was our first girl Yuu, Yuuna is the second. They present differently, but neither of them ever once worry about having the “hide” their gender. Please celebrate Yuuna’s style if that’s what you mean, instead of the “true girl” Yuu.
And on another note, there is the very popular and so far very likely theory of a “boy-girl” pattern in the manga Yuu’s- especially since all the Yuu’s so far have been the opposite gender as the Disney villains of each dorm. Meaning, the theory is that a male Yuu is likely for Diasomnia.
And I’m seeing a very vocal crowd dismissing the idea of male Yuu in the Diasomnia arc, that they want a girl, they’d hate a male Yuu, “Malleus forgot it’s not an Otome so it has to be a girl Yuu!”, they want a girl to be with Malleus “because [we] want Malleyuu.”
And again. It just feels so…alienating. Malleus and Malleyuu personally isn’t for me, but I’ve spent many years hopping around Otome and romance games in the past, and male and NB fans of these genres are frequently told that they don’t belong in the fandom, that these games cater to women.
But most conversations bringing up the possibility of romance games bringing in he/him, they/them or even customizable pronouns for the player are often shut down in most community spaces. Games like TWST, with an ambiguous MC and individual interactions with a character of your choice (ie the home screen voicelines)- or even games like Obey Me or the Arcana, are a rarity have made me really happy and feel really comfortable in the fandoms. Even if the game’s audience is mostly women, the MC/Yuu has *always* had an open identity.
So…the concept that Malleyuu is only WANTED by a portion of the fandom ONLY it’s a girl Yuu just brings back those same feelings again. Of course you may have whatever Yuu you want in your own personal Malleyuu ship!! But one girl Yuu can never represent the whole fandom, one male Yuu can never represent the whole fandom. So it’s strange there’s this complete outcry at the idea of a boy, and in turn of non-het Malleyuu ships in the fandom.
The manga and the Yuu’s have never shown a romantic relationship towards any character- any fanservicey moments still remain from the game, no matter the Yuu it’s aimed towards. And not just from Housewardens- all the characters have their bits of fanservice! But it never goes farther than that in the main story especially.
With the reveal of Yuuna, the EN fandom has been celebrating the diversity and openmindness of the world of twst, and how customizable your Yuu’s truly are. Yuu is…you! Yuu can be whoever you want. But it all falls apart when a portion of the fandom see Yuuna as the only valid girl Yuu, when the mere idea of a male Yuu for Diasomnia or for Malleyuu is bashed and hated.
Or you know what- the idea of male or even NB Yuu is bashed entirely every single time there’s a damn announcement for the manga. A while back, the Scarabia manga announcements were mistranslated in English, and the gender ambiguous language for Yuu was accidental turned into he/him (which turned out to be Yuuna). And the level of vitriol I saw over the idea of a male Yuu was so fucking disheartening. And now it’s happening all over again with a future Diasomnia manga.
Is the manga and their Yuu’s really a celebration of diversity in the EN fandom? It doesn’t feel that way, at all. Perhaps I’m just being self centered about this, but I’ve found myself increasingly upset about how vocal these two issues have been, and I wish some people could be more mindful about it
Apologies for my incoherency in this vent 💦💦💦💦💦 this is NOT hate toward Malleyuu or Yuuna fans as a whole- or towards anyone in fact. This is just a vent and a slight critique just certain parts of the fan bas

Something about Dot gravitating around people who are completely different from her in terms of personality and taking inspiration from them (Blanca and Nanjamo) while she personally finds solace in people similar to her (Liko).
#something about the mask dot puts on as gurumin etc#and how her energy as gurumin is similar to blanca's (pointed out both in universe and pr wise)#it's interesting how blanca and nanjamo are kind of similar (talkative and energetic and extraverted etc)#and how dot ends up having nanjamo as a 'guiding' figure (she is kind of like her senpai)#when nanjamo is very different from her (and dot sometimes can't keep up with her)#and nanjamo means a lot to her (dot was so happy that nanjamo used her name and is one of the few chara dot doesn't call strictly by name)#there is a lot to say about this dynamics in particular but i like how dot kind of sees nanjamo as someone to reach#(which is why i feel like dot will pass her test but lose the battle and gain something through their confrontation)#either way i like it and both kind of characters are important to dot's development (liko and nanjamo affect her in different ways)#dot#hz049#character notes#episode notes

The different parts of Gotham War not lining up at all in terms of plot, character motivation and characterization is bad enough, but now that DC is suddenly trying to explain when other titles like Detective Comics and Batman and Robin are taking place in relation to Gotham War it gets even worse because now all of these storylines make so much less sense too.
#Gotham War#Listing all the reasons why Gotham War and Ram V's Tec run don't fit together would be complicated#Because they are doing similar things with a similar cast of characters but in extremely different ways#And I don't have the energy to go through both storylines to get the details right#But Batman and Robin is simple#You can't have a cozy father-son-story and Bruce going insane and shoving all the parental responsibilities onto Dick#to be a brooding loner again taking place at the same time#Is the entire Batman and Robin book supposed to take place during the few days that Damian was the only one on Bruce's side in GW#Before Bruce abandoned Damian?#Because unlike when Death in the Family happened you can't even use the excuse that Damian changed his mind#And decided to stay with Bruce even though dinf ended with everyone including Dami not showing up at the talk Bruce wanted to have with the#Which was what they did in B&R 2011#Because back then it was the family that decided they didn't want to work with Bruce anymore#In GW it's Bruce who tells them to leave him alone#He very explicitly abandons Damian despite the fact that Damian didn't betray him and stayed loyal#So this time Damian can hardly change his mind and decide to stick by Bruce because it's Bruce who rejected him#I'm still so confused by Zdarsky putting that in the story in the first place because he clearly has very little interest in Damian#Out of all the male Robins he played the smallest part in this#It probably would have been better for B&R if Damian had been somehow absent for Gotham War like in a lot of previous batfam events#And left the time B&R takes place unspecified#So that it just takes place in its own bubble#I'm usually all for DC telling us how things fit together but for that to be good things need to actually line up#And not outright contradict each other

Your law is peak law. It’s cannon in the best of ways I swear. Semi goth fashion, air of badassery, general sadist in his hyper focus of surgery, oddly creepy. Also caves like a bitch to anything moderately cute (corasan bepo ect) and is so overprotective of his friends they don’t even get much of a chance to fight becuase he’s already disassembled the energy and look he’s so proud of himself
i am soooo happy he comes across like that.
law is a hilarious type of character that i love thats pretty fucking cool and intimidating from a distance and then you come closer and he is WEIRD and intimidating but like in a creepy way so sense of self preservation dictates establishing the distance back again
him being a doctor is the most normal thing about him but in that he is so extreme and exceptional
i love that hes just an INTENSE guy to the point that its off putting and im very happy that people enjoy me making loving fun of him
#never reading dressrosa or punk hazard#ive read posts abt it i know enough#only thing im missing out on is cora but i saw clips of that too so i think im good#i love him of course he is perfect#anyway one true law is the law thats with bepo so if im basing my bepo characterization on a few scenes why law should get a different#treatment? im not giving him any!#those arcs just seemed like a lot i have no desire to read them#anyway law is funny as shit#weird comparison but his post timeskip moe hit me in a similar way that when back in hq days i got the appeal of akaashi#they are very different but that -hot/seemingly put together at first glance - fucking psycho if you look closer#i love that for hottie characters#pre ts law's vibe being a piece of shit stoner is entirely blamed on the bucket hat and that hoodie#even tho his character didnt changed#but its funny how its the vibe you know the energy#seeing that one excellent lawbepo artist on pixiv draw law be an obsessive weirdo did it all#anonymous

Ngl the fact Psychonauts fans and Detective Grimoire fans sorta overlap is rlly funny
#like most ppl I’ve seen who are into psychonauts are into grimoire and vice versa#anyways what’s ur guys thoughts on older Lili sounding like Sally Spears#i think older lili would have a very similar energy to her#a mix of sarcasm/snark but also silliness#anyways god I cannot fucking wait until mermaids mask comes out#I did spoil myself a lil on what the characters look like#and maybe the killer? though I’m unsure on that#cosmic chatz

Yes I've read Battle Royale, yes I think it's better than the Hunger Games, no I don't think that means that The Hunger Games has no reason to exist.
#battle royale#the hunger games#the base concepts are the same#the worldbuilding details and the characters are very different#they're both valid#istg some people act like two similar concepts have never coexisted before#i wish you would have had this energy for fables and once upon a time#even though fables was a comic and ouat was a tv show#but if we're talking books how many thousands of thrillers and romance novels have almost identical storylines at the surface?#personally i think what made battle royale more compelling was the fact that the kids all knew each other#whereas the focus on image and celebrity and the heavy sci fi elements were what set thg apart

i gotta draw knights radient as miraculous holders. i gotta
#miraculous ladybug#stormlight archive#cosmere#it started by thinking that shallan would obvs. have the fox#and now i've got a whole list#and need to draw dalinar with the rabbit. with the rabbit ears and umbrella. i gotta. for science (time travel - it just makes sense)#beth and i agreed that teft would have the pig because it was the funniest thing to give him the power to show people their deepest desires#and bring people happiness#like as his super power#also lopen gets the monkey yes chaos will reign supreme#renarin gets the snake#after a long chat we decided that kaladin would get the ladybug because of his big main character energy and how much he wants to fix thing#and save people and have everything be okay in the end#also because tikki and syl are very similar#and ALSO because he and szeth are such narrative foils for each other in a lot of ways#and giving szeth the cat just made sense#like can you imagine the adventures of plagg and szeth son son valano truthless of shinovar?#plagg begging him to throw out the stupid rock and eat a wheel of cheese kid you'll feel better trust me

writing her vd was kinda hard tbh.. i'm still trying to figure out what i want her character to be like, at first she was supposed to be, like, a cute and cheerful girl who is also kinda creepy, but here she's more.. quiet, i guess? i like her vd a lot though! i actually got chills while writing the last sentence and one thing she says to eiji
also, after this vd i will post akio and aimi's interrogation! so again, you can send them questions if you want!
(divider link)
Aimi: ♪~
(door opens)
Miki: S-sorry for being late!.. We, um.. had some problems to deal with..
Aimi: Ah, it's okay, don't worry about it! I haven't even noticed that you're late actually.
Aimi: May I ask what happened though?
Miki: Um, I'm not sure that I'm allowed-
Eiji: Akio passed out right after we extracted his song.
Miki: Eiji-san, you're gonna scare her!
Aimi: Oh, really? Is he okay?
Miki: Y-yeah, it just turned out that he was, um.. m-more "fragile" than we thought.
Eiji: He's just weak, that's all.
Eiji: I don't think it happened because of the machine, he most likely just had some health problems before he even came here.
Eiji: Or he just knew that we will vote him guilty and got too scared, haha.
Aimi: I see..
Miki: But don't worry, I'm sure you're gonna be fine after we extract your song!
Miki: At least I hope so..
Eiji: Anyway, enough about that guy.
Eiji: So, Prisoner 002, Hanasaki Aimi. 16 years old, first year of high school, just like Prisoner 001.
Eiji: By the way, what do you think about him? Prisoner 009 is also still in high school, if I'm not wrong.
Aimi: Hm.. Akio-kun is a good guy! I can tell that he's.. well, not the most friendly person, but I'm sure that he just needs some time to get used to this place and other prisoners!
Aimi: And Kuroki-san is so nice to me! He treats me well and he always listens to me no matter what I say..
Aimi: Overall, I like this place a lot! I'm having so much fun with everyone!
Miki: You're surprisingly relaxed for a situation like this..
Aimi: Well, this is just some kind of game, isn't it? Oh, maybe this is a theme park or something like that? I've never been in a prison-themed park though..
Eiji: *sighs* When will you all accept that this is a real thing and you can actually die if we vote you guilty?
Miki: D-DIE?? Eiji-san, they won't actually get executed, right? RIGHT??
Aimi: Die, huh..
Aimi: Well, it's not like I mind.
Miki: .. What?
Aimi: If it means that I won't be executed alone and other prisoners will be with me too..
Aimi: I would be happy to die with my best friends by my side.
Eiji: ...
Miki: ...
Aimi: Ah, sorry for scaring you like this! Please, ask me anything you want. I will answer as honestly as I can.
Eiji: .. Right. So, about your crime.
Eiji: I'm looking at you right now and I'm trying to figure out what you did.
Eiji: .. You sure have a lot of injuries.
Aimi: Haha, yes, I do.
Aimi: I'm just a little bit clumsy, that's all.
Eiji: We just started and you're already lying.
Aimi: Huh?
Eiji: You got these injuries because of someone else and not because of your own clumsiness, didn't you?
Aimi: ...
Aimi: Haha.. Speaking from experience, Guard-san?
Eiji: !
Eiji: You-
Aimi: Sorry, sorry. It's just that you also look like you had to go through a lot.
Eiji: How.. HOW DARE YOU?!
Miki: Eiji-san, stop! She's already hurt, don't make it worse for her!
Eiji: .. Fine.
Eiji: (to Aimi) Give me your hairclip. The candy-shaped one.
Aimi: W-why do you need it?
Eiji: If I can't punish you physically, I'll just do it this way.
Eiji: And something is telling me this hairclip is important to you.
Aimi: .. W-well, if Guard-san says so..
Aimi: I would be okay with getting beaten though.
Miki: Eiji-san, please, leave her alone!
Eiji: SHE CAN'T JUST GO "OH, I WONDER WHY YOU HAVE TO WEAR ALL THESE BANDAGES"!
Miki: .. P-please, just give him the hairclip, Aimi-chan. You don't deserve to get hurt even more.
Aimi: !..
Aimi: "Aimi-chan"..
Aimi: I've never been called that before..
Aimi: Okay! Here, have my hairclip, Guard-san!
Eiji: ...
Eiji: You gave it to the wrong guard.
Miki: Why did you-
Aimi: Because you wouldn't look good with it, Guard 001-san!
Eiji: You did it just because she was nicer to you, didn't you?
Aimi: So, about my crime.
Eiji: Hey, don't ignore me!
Aimi: I.. can't tell you much about it. Sorry.
Miki: Why? Are you scared?
Aimi: Not really. I'm not scared at all actually.
Aimi: It's just that I'm not even sure if you can call it a crime.
Eiji: You're in Milgram and that means it is definitely a crime.
Eiji: And not just any crime, but murder.
Aimi: Murder..
Aimi: You're right. I did commit murder.
Eiji: I wonder who you killed though.
Eiji: .. Did you kill someone to get revenge on them?
Aimi: .. Haha, who knows.
Eiji: Was it one of your classmates?
Aimi: NO!
Miki: Aimi-chan??
Eiji: Finally, I was worried this interrogation will be boring.
Aimi: I was friends with all of my classmates! They loved me! We always had so much fun together!
Aimi: I.. I loved them.. I really did.. And they loved me..
Aimi: It.. It wasn't one of my classmates..
Eiji: .. Weird.
Aimi: What's weird?
Eiji: You see, sure, I can just say you killed someone because you were bullied and you wanted to get revenge on that person.
Eiji: Reminds me of that last prisoner.. But I doubt that he really was bullied, he was just mad that people loved someone more than him.
Eiji: But you just.. don't seem like that type of person.
Aimi: What do you mean by that?
Eiji: I can imagine you snapping and finally showing your bullies how angry you are at them, but something just doesn't add up.
Eiji: Did you notice it too, Guard 002?
Miki: No, I didn't.
Eiji: ...
Eiji: *sighs* Fine.
Eiji: In short, you're too weak to actually kill someone yourself.
Eiji: I can't think of anyone who could be your victim except your bullies, but again, you say that your classmates loved you.
Eiji: So that means you either killed someone from a different class or a different school..
Eiji: .. or someone helped you realize how bad your situation really is.
Eiji: Hey, Aimi..
Eiji: Did you also have an accomplice, just like Prisoner 001?
(bell rings, machinery sounds)
Eiji: I'm waiting for your answer.
Aimi: ...
Eiji: Aimi!
Miki: Eiji-san, she needs a minute-
Eiji: Prisoner 002, Aimi, sing your sins!
Aimi: I was told that it would be nice if they all just died.

#so. how are we feeling about the last part :)#god i am so insane about akio and aimi parallels. the popular boy and the girl who was hated by everyone.#their crimes being so similar but also so different. their backstories both having something to do with bullying.#(one prisoner will join them with their backstory too haha <3)#i also love how both of them have like.. muu songs energy. akio is inmf and aimi is after pain (yes it's kei's cover but who cares)#also if you're wondering why miki doesn't have that many lines compared to eiji#she's still getting used to her new job! she's a little confused!#and also i imagine her being an “audience surrogate” type of character kinda like es meanwhile eiji is an actual protag#i still love her so much#but man. eiji is so funny like yes i feel so sorry for him and he also can be very cruel but.#“don't ignore me >:(” and “is it because miki is nicer than me”. literally babygirl material#🗡️guard 001: sanada eiji 🗡️#🌼guard 002: andou miki 🌼#🌸prisoner 002: hanasaki aimi🌸#milgram#milgram project#milgram oc

OH THO what if in persona 6 they did smth similar to what tales of xillia did? Aka you have two protagonists, one boy and one girl, and u can choose who you play. Both remain & both are important to the story, but bc you follow different protags there are some parts where it diverges and you get little snippets of story just from their pov
Raising this possibility bc I've never actually played that much of p3p female protag Despite p3p on psp being where I experienced persona 3 (back in year 2014 lmao) bc i love Minato so much it's hard to play minako bc it means I won't see him 😭 if I got to see him too it'd make it easier to play a game with her
Oh also Pokémon does this. Like basically every Pokémon game. Whoops that's probably a more culturally relevant comparison. Oh well I cant help being a tales bitch
#speculation nation#in my defense tales games generally have a more complex plot than pokemon#with deeper characters & more intricate character development#so it's a bit more pertinent when talking about a persona game that would Hopefully be of a similar level#this isnt bashing on pokemon. their stories r often very good too. but ultimately it is a fun children's game for catching pokemon#character development isnt as much of a focus as it is in heavily story-driven jrpgs. like persona and tales.#anyways p5x got me thinking about New Persona Characters and wishing they put that energy into persona 6#we dont even have an announcement that theyre working on it. just the vaguest of rumors based on dev recruitment#for p5 all we had for a long time was just a pic of some chairs with chains on them#but at least it was still SOMETHING. gave us an approximate idea of the general vibes of the game.#for p6 we have just. nothing. absolutely nothing.#im trying to be patient but ive been in this fandom for almost 10 years now 😭 and theres only been ONE new main game since#atlus pls...
